Reports to: Executive Director

Overall, Purpose of the Job:

To drive the development and growth of opportunities in the Pharmaceutical sales & Distribution and logistics business, maintain customer relationships, and support all business goals and objectives to achieve revenue targets.

Job Requirements

Duties and responsibilities:
• Develop and implement strategies for business development in pursuit of demanding targets and objectives of pharmaceutical and health commodity sales & Marketing and supply chain and logistics business lines.
• Identify and track potential opportunities and clients, developing technical proposals to potential clients.
• Manage client relationships and engagements in supply chain and logistics sector.
• Negotiate with clients for increased business to maximize logistics service performance for the Pharma Grade and free warehouses and fleet.
• Support the Business Development team to search for new anchor clients and principals.
• Support the business development team to attain sales targets for pharmaceutical, warehousing and transportation service offering.
• Coordinate training and administration of supply chain and logistics teams– secure alignment between processes, practices and branding activities and field force activities.
• Focus on complete business/value chain and optimize the effort and flexibility towards the marketing of logistics services.
• Achieve monthly and yearly sales and profit targets via established business portfolio and new client introductions.
• Maximize commercial opportunities interfacing at senior management level with key customers and suppliers to create long term profitable business relationships.
• Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications and Key Competencies
• 12-15 years of experience in business development or commercial operations of Pharmaceutical sales, marketing, supply chain and logistics especially in procurement & warehousing.
• Bachelor’s degree in international business, procurement & logistics management, supply chain management, or any other related field.
• Master’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics and inventory management.
• A professional qualification in Certified Logistics & Supply Chain Management Professional (CLSCMP) or Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) is desirable.
